I was born in 1959 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, where I studied Fine Art at the Arnhem Academy of the Arts. After graduating in 1987 I moved to Barcelona for two years, before following my heart to Sydney, Australia.

I worked for several years as an artist for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi-Gras. This led to the formation of a prop making business, 'Artcamp' with Mardi-Gras colleagues. My experience making props and creating paint finishes provided an inroad to the film industry where I've had a 20 year career as a scenic artist. I worked on a number of international productions which include :Australia, the Great Gatsby, Wolverine, Matrix, Star Wars, Unbroken and Gods of Egypt.

Throughout my film career I've maintained an art practice and exhibited in a number of group shows. My first solo exhibition, 'Footprints' was held at Gallery East in Sydney in June 2015. In August that year I moved to the Kimberley in Western Australia where I spent 14 months exploring the spectacular environment and painting for a new exhibition. The exhibition titled 'SignAGE' was held at Gallery East in December 2016.

In 2017 I collaborated with Mikala Dwyer on a work for her major exhibition "a shape of thought" at the The Art Gallery of New South Wales, held from August 2017 till February 2018.This work was purchased by The Art gallery of New South Wales.

Since 2018 I’ve been working as an education officer (casual) with the Bundanon Trust.

During the last years I’ve been exhibited in a number of groups shows.

In 2023 I had a solo show “UNEARTH” in the Clifton school of Arts.Which showed 28 paintings and 44 sculptures made over the past four years.
